The first meeting of the CIP Committee was held on 20 March 2010. The CIP Committee is responsible for the evaluation of the implementation of the second Court Improvement Plan (Plan 2). The Committee consists of magistrates and court staff who will monitor the implementation of Plan 2, go to site visits, collect and analyze all innovations and identify the good practices established.
The meeting is organized under the new project Enhancing Court Business Practices. It is funded by the America for Bulgaria Foundation and aims to continue the activities under the Model Courts and Courts in Partnership Program through the implementation of Plan 2.
The first step was the meeting of the chairpersons of Model Courts and Courts in Partnership held on 19 - 20 February 2010 in Veliko Tarnovo. At the meeting, 23 courts expressed their desire to work with Plan 2 and the CIP Committee was set up. It will meet twice in 2010 to discuss all current issues.
