The first meeting on the implementation of the new Court Improvement Plan will was held on 21 May 2010 in the building of the Veliko Tarnovo District Court. The main goal was to review the joint concept of the Veliko Tarnovo District Court, the Gabrovo District Court, the Sevlievo Regional Court and the Gorna Oryahovitsa Regional Court and to discuss it basic elements and the activities to be carried out in the next years.
Special attention was paid to the Strategy to continue the judicial reform on the conditions of full European Union membership and the priorities identified in view of the implementation of the Plan and the future thrusts of the courts' work.
The meeting was also attended by CIP Committee representatives. The CIP Committee was elected by the chairpersons of Model Courts and Courts in Partnership in the beginning of the year and it will assess the implementation of the Court Improvement Plan by the courts. Its activities will be actively supported by the PDJS and judges and staff of the courts working on the project.
